The ETA single-row profile is our most widely deployed patented chain guide, engineered for ISO B-series roller chains running on conveyor side rails, accumulation tables and packaging lines worldwide.
Design Principle
The ETA profile combines a wide stable base with a precision-machined chain pocket on the upper surface. The shoulder geometry locks the chain laterally while the polished pocket bottom provides ultra-low friction sliding contact, eliminating metal-on-metal wear at every chain link.

All patented profiles are machined from our in-house UHMWPE compound with verified molecular weight of 8.62 × 10⁶ Da (CTIC report no. CTICAAD39240944050802BR, ISO 1628-3 method). This molecular weight is at the high end of commercial UHMWPE grades and delivers the abrasion resistance, impact strength and low coefficient of friction that the patented geometry was designed to exploit.

What chain pitches does the ETA single-row profile support?
ETA single-row guides are stocked for ISO B-series chains from 06B-1 (9.525 mm pitch) through 24B-1 (38.10 mm pitch). Custom pitches and ANSI equivalents (#35, #40, #50, #60, #80) are CNC-machined to order within 20-30 days.
Can I get the ETA profile in lengths longer than 6 metres?
Stock extrusion is 6000 mm. For longer continuous runs we supply paired butt-joint profiles with chamfered ends — installations of 12-24 metre conveyor sides are routine. Specify the run length in your DWG/DXF and we quote the joint preparation.
Is the ETA single-row patent enforceable outside China?
The CNIPA design patent (ZL 2019 3 0354736.2) protects the profile geometry within mainland China. For Jiasheng customers exporting finished equipment globally, the value is twofold: (1) you receive a profile that is unique and not produced by unauthorised competitors in China, and (2) the patent demonstrates the design is original and engineered, not a generic commodity.
How does the ETA profile compare to steel side rails?
UHMWPE ETA guides eliminate scheduled lubrication, reduce conveyor sound levels by 8-12 dB(A), and extend chain life 2-3× because the polymer absorbs link impact rather than transmitting it. Energy savings of 6-10 % are typical because the coefficient of friction (≈0.10-0.15 dry) is roughly half that of greased steel-on-steel.
What thicknesses (overall height) are available?
Standard overall heights are 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 mm. We label each SKU as base-width × overall-height — e.g. T-12B1-25-30 = 12B-1 chain, 25 mm base, 30 mm overall. Refer to the SKU table below.
Do you supply the matching wear strip on the return side?
Yes. Most installations use the same ETA profile on both the carry and return sides; alternatively we supply our generic UHMWPE flat wear strip (CK series) for the return where the chain is unloaded.
Is the material food-contact compliant?
Default stock is FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 compliant UHMWPE in natural (off-white) colour. EU 10/2011 grade is available on request. Coloured pigments (blue, green) are also food-grade but specify in the quote.
What is the operating temperature range?
Standard UHMWPE: -50 °C to +80 °C continuous, +100 °C intermittent. For higher-temperature lines (bake-out ovens, sterilisation tunnels) we substitute heat-stabilised UHMWPE or PA6 cast nylon.
Can the ETA profile be drilled and counterbored on-site?
Yes — UHMWPE machines easily with standard HSS or carbide tooling. We recommend factory CNC drilling: send your DWG/DXF and we deliver pre-drilled profiles ready for bolt-down installation, eliminating shop labour and chip cleanup.
